The Challenge
Ojas required a complete redesign and migration of their ecommerce platform to Shopify Plus. The main challenges included maintaining brand aesthetics while improving usability, migrating content without compromising SEO, and creating an interactive user experience that would reflect the brand’s Ayurvedic heritage.

What We Did
Our scope of work for Ojas included the following key services:

We collaborated with Ojas to design and develop a visually captivating Shopify Plus store that captured the brand’s essence. Using the existing branding guidelines and imagery provided by PepsiCo, we designed custom pages for the Home Page, Product Page, Shop Page, Our Story, Quiz Page, Community Page, and more. The website was developed to be fully responsive, ensuring a consistent user experience across all devices.
Content Migration and SEO Optimization
We migrated content from the previous website while implementing a comprehensive SEO strategy to maintain rankings. This involved setting up 301 redirects to preserve link equity, optimizing metadata, and ensuring that product descriptions and landing pages adhered to SEO best practices.
Interactive User Experience
To engage users, we developed interactive features such as a quiz that helps customers discover their Ayurvedic dosha—Vata, Pitta, or Kapha—and suggests products and content accordingly. This feature was designed to create a personalized shopping experience and educate users about the brand’s wellness philosophy.
Backend Integration
We integrated various backend solutions to support the store’s operational efficiency, including Channel Advisor for product data management, and shipping integrations with FedEx, USPS, and UPS for real-time shipping rates. We also implemented subscription email capture functionality integrated with MailChimp to boost customer retention and re-engagement.
Design Review and Revision Process
The design process was carried out in multiple rounds, with mock-ups reviewed and revised in collaboration with the PepsiCo team. Each major page went through at least two review rounds to ensure alignment with the brand’s vision and goals. We also ensured flexibility for additional changes following user testing, based on feedback from PepsiCo’s internal stakeholders.
Performance Optimization and Quality Assurance
To provide an optimized and high-performance ecommerce experience, we conducted extensive quality assurance testing to ensure cross-browser compatibility and mobile responsiveness. The development and testing phases included placing test orders and performing an internal quality check before the soft launch. Post-launch, we provided a 60-day bug-fixing period to address any issues arising from the migration and redesign.

The Result
Ojas now enjoys a visually engaging, highly functional ecommerce platform on Shopify Plus. The migration has resulted in an improved user experience, seamless subscription management, and enhanced backend efficiency. Our redesign has helped Ojas maintain its brand aesthetics while optimizing usability and SEO performance.
